CHILI PEPPER – A1048972
8-29-2015 Manhattan Rescue: Feline Rescue of SI Please honor your pledges: http://felinerescueofstatenisland.org/donation/
*** SAFE 08/29/15 *** CHILI PEPPER and her BFF, Pearl Jam, are two kittens who were brought into the ACC when their former owner passed away. The ACC loves to split up housemates and they also love to kill cats, so this is shaping up to be a win-win for them. They have put CHILI PEPPER on tonight’s list and that’s about all they have done for her. One night of a little more exposure, and then BAM!, a lethal injection the next day and one more tally on a spreadsheet somewhere. Shouldn’t CHILI PEPPER have a nice, long, happy life? You know she should! Please work to make sure she gets what she deserves by sharing her everywhere for a foster/adopter, tonight!

08/27/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Chili looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Chili slowly retreats away from the assessor, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Chili accepts the stroke, but turns her head quickly towards the assessor’s hand and began to hard stare. Placement determination: Experience / no child Chili Pepper tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
