Reaction to assessor: Chica was calm, relaxed, and friendly at the front. She rolls onto her side, starts to knead, and rubs her cheeks on her blanket when spoken to softly.
Reaction to cage door opening: Chica remains soft and relaxed.
Reaction to touch: Chica head-butts and leans on the assessor’s hand, starts to purr, and lifts her tail and sways it lightly throughout the interaction.
Reaction to being picked up: Chica remains calm and allows handling.
Behavior Determination: Average
Chica has continued to show social behaviors during her stay in the care center. She interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.

Reaction to assessor: Chica was calm and relaxed upon approach. She chirps, rolls onto her back, and rubs her head against her blanket when softly spoken to.
Reaction to cage door opening: Chica remains soft and relaxed.
Reaction to touch: Chica continues to roll against her bedding, chirps, and rubs her cheeks onto the assessor’s hand to solicit attention, but her tail remains tucked below body level and it sways vigorously from side to side.
As per previous owner, Chica has lived with adults, teenagers, and children for a few years. She hasn’t lived with other animals and according to the owner, she hisses when she sees them. They said she loves to play, enjoys petting, uses a scratch post, is very playful, and loves to cuddle and be picked up.
Behavior Determination: Experience
Chica interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Although she is displaying behaviors that earn her an Average score, due to her reaction to handling during the medical exam and her willingness to strike out to avoid handling in certain situations, we recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
