**SAFE 06/15/15** SECOND CHANCES ARE RARE AT THE ACC, MAKE THE MOST OF IT FOR CHI CHI TONIGHT! Shy chunkster CHI CHI had lived with his former owners since they found him in the street a few years back. They kept his litter box on the fire escape (or brought it into the bathtub when it was raining) and didn’t provide him with a scratching post, and his last vet appointment was in 2013. CHI CHI is reported as being an independent, affectionate cat who is a mellow and loving companion. Not the kind of guy to get in your face, CHI CHI has run out of time at the ACC. This EXPERIENCE-rated hug machine will be killed tomorrow afternoon unless a foster/adopter does right by him, tonight!

06/03/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
Basic Information Chi Chi is a 6 year old male gray tabby domestic short haired cat. His owner has had him since he was a kitten, where he was found in the street. Chi Chi came into ACC after his owner was no longer able to care for him due to moving to a new residence that did not allow pets. Chi Chi doesn’t appear to have any health issues, as reported by the owner, and was last at the vet in 2013. Socializing Chi Chi has mostly been around adults and children, and has spent some time around dogs. He is known to be relaxed around all others, but doesn’t seek much play time. Chi Chi has never been around other cats, and the owner is unsure as to how he would act around them. Chi Chi seeks attention when he wants it, mostly for affection and petting. Behavior Chi Chi has a tendency of going to the bathroom in the tub when his litter box is not out on the fire escape, where he usually uses it. If it rains, the owner explained that they will bring the litter box inside and Chi Chi will usually go to the bathroom in the tub. Additionally, Chi Chi claws on the furniture. For A New Family to Know Chi Chi is described as a relaxed, mellow, independent cat who lives affection at his own discretion. While at home, he is usually sleeping or spending time alone. He will seek attention when he wants to be pet, which the owner explains is one of his favorite things. He is litter box trained, primarily with clumping litter in a box that is uncovered and put outside on the fire escape. Otherwise, Chi Chi remains indoors. He only eats dry food, with Meow Mix as his preference. Chi Chi does not like to be groomed or handled, and will often struggle when doing so. He would do best in a home where he can be independent and seek attention at his leisure. Behavior During Intake Chi Chi appeared whale eyed and nervous during the intake. He ws unable to collared due to appearing so timid. He walked out of his carrier into the cage without issue.
