Notes: Chevelle was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying calm behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, allows attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Chevelle is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner. Reaction to assessor: comes to the front of the cage, soliciting, rubbing against the cage front When spoken quietly: stays at front, remains calm Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft & relaxed Reaction to touch: remains calm and relaxed, allows petting, rubs on hand Try picking cat up: allows handling, body soft and relaxed Placement Determination: Beginner
