CHEESE EGG – A1053344
Gone 10-7-2015 Manhattan
**GONE 10/07/15** PREGNANT MAMA needs a NEW HOPE RESCUE tonight! Were you wondering who names a pregnant tortie girl with the appalling appellation of “Cheese Egg?” Wonder no more, because now the world knows: the Animal Care Centers of New York City, or rather, one of their staff, is who burdened this lovely lady with that horrible title. This beautiful mama is heavily pregnant, she is scared and defensive, and that’s the best they could come up with? Other shelters in other states would have treated her with kindness and made sure she had her babies safely, then rehomed the family. NOT THE ACC! They gave her a crappy name and slapped her on the kill list. Only a New Hope rescue group can save CHEESE EGG and her unborn kittens, tonight!

10/01/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
10/01/15 10:57 Behavior during intake: This cat came to MACC in a feral trap. The cat went into a den with no issue but when I opened the den to collar the cat, she attempted to swat at me. She was then looking up and around the room. I closed the door of the den because I did not want the cat to run and become stressed. I did not collar this cat.

10/03/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Chees Egg looks tense in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Cheese Egg remains lying down on her cage bedding, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Cheese Egg accepts the stroke, but shivers in place with a direct stare at the assessor’s hand and shows no interest on the touch. Placement determination: Experience / no child Cheese Egg tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
