**SAFE 09/26/15** CATRICK is a NEUTERED 3-year-old family pet who suddenly found himself without a family when those folks moved right out from under him! According to this owner surrender notes, this glossy purr machine is “a very smart cat and a master of the litter box,” and would probably be a decent fit for older children. He earned an EXPNOCHILD rating from the ACC and has NO idea why his people have left him behind, nor does he know what the shelter are planning to do with him tomorrow. Make sure he NEVER finds out that he was scheduled to die at the ACC by finding a FOSTER/ADOPTER to save his life, tonight!

Social Life and personality: Catrick has spent his life around children. He can get a little bit rough with them sometimes. He may do best in a home with older kids. Catrick has never really spent any time with other cats or dogs. He is a very smart cat and a master of the litter box. This cat is not in tune with nature. He has spent his whole life indoors. Catrick likes to stay very active. He is playful, confident and affectionate. Behavior history: Catrick is generally well behaved. He has never bitten or scratched another animal or human. However, he is not a fan of water so giving him a bath will not make him happy at all. His former owner was able trim his nails with no problem. This boy doesn’t mind being picked up and held for short periods. He loves being brushed. Catrick has only been in a carrier a few times but he does not like it. For a new Family to Know: Catrick is used to clumping litter in a hooded litter box. He loves to play with string, catnip and ball toys. He loves scratching on top of a cardboard box. Catrick will rarely seek attention but he does love people. He is not good in the car. He will panic and meow a lot. Behavior during intake: This cat allowed me to collar him and take his photo with no issue. He rubbed his head on my hand through out the intake process.
