***SAFE 08/03/15***TERRIFIC TABBY NEEDS NEW FRIEND! Sad sigh! A good Samaritan thought they were doing the right thing when they scooped up year old Catalina into a bag and brought her into the ACC. They thought she was a “home cat” because she’s “so friendly, pranced towards (them) meowing” and sought “attention-affection.” We wish they would have taken some time to look for the owner rather than dump this great girl at the kill shelter. Catalina is a purrfect pet as you can tell from her description—super affectionate, healthy and young. She received an awesome-pawesome average rating and deserves the chance to grow up in a loving home. Can you open up your heart and home to this sweetheart? If so, please reserve her online or contact a NH rescue for help with transportation (available if you live within a few hours of NYC). Make the call for this terrific tabby. Save a life. Make a difference.

07/13/15 10:50 Catalina A1043805 is a young female brown tabby DSH feline who was found wandering the streets by a cat lover who feels bad when they spot cats on the streets. The finder stated they believe Catalina was a “home cat” because she’s so friendly, pranced towards the finder meowing and seeking attention/affection from them and allowed handling. The finder was able to place Catalina into a bag they had on them and bring her into our BXAC. During intake Catalina allowed all handling. She allowed to be scanned (-), collared & taken pictures of. She allowed us to pick her up, be held and transfer her from the carrier into a kennel with ease.
