CARTER – A1031695
4-6-2015
CARTER’S PROGNOSIS HAS IMPROVED BUT HE’S SCHEDULED TO BE KILLED TOMORROW ANYWAY…….CARTER is a NEW HOPE rated cat who had a very bad URI when he came in but now that it’s getting better and he has a good prognosis the ACC is anxious to show him the door permanently….IT’S NOT RIGHT ON A WEEKEND OF HOLY DAYS THAT CARTER’S LIFE SHOULD BE DISCARDED…..PLEASE…..offer to foster with a NEW HOPE rescue and save CARTER. The rescue handles the vet bills and you give CARTER the time he needs to blossom…Many of the NEW HOPE cats are just frightened….but they never get a chance….BE THE CHANCE FOR CARTER TONIGHT AND FOSTER!!

03/31/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Carter was brought to the shelter as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. He seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment Carter was displaying behaviors that prevent placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. He has tried to flee and is extremely fearful. He currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: was hiding when I approach cage (3) When spoken quietly: continues to hide (3) Reaction to door cage opening: retreats (3) Reaction to touch: tries to flee, may swat (4) Reaction to toy or novel object: try to flee (4) Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of handling, very afraid, hisses and tries to flee. Placement Deremination: NH
