Safe 12-29-2015 Manhattan
SAFE 12/29/15 STILL HERE AND NEEDS TO FIND PLACEMENT !!! Per previous owner: According to the owner he has been around children ages 7, 8, and 10 and was relaxed but did not play with them. He would seek attention/pets but when they became too loud/active he would run away and hide. He is litter box trained and kept indoors only. At home, he rarely sought attention and would stay in a favorite spot.
A volunteer testifies: This 10 year old is a total love bug. It took about 50 photos to get this shot. He liked to look down and head butt and be lovey dovey. He was so handleable–while I was trying to get this shot I wound up spending a lot of pet time with him:)

Hey there, new human friend! My name’s Carter and seeing as you’re standing right in front of me, how about giving the ol’ head some love? Yeah, just the head for now, my chunky body is all cozy and settled on the bed but I’ll stretch my neck waaay out to make it easier for you. It just so happens that I’m looking for a new home, might you be looking for a new cat? I lived with my last family since I was 3 months old, never knew anything else but them and spent most of my time chilling out in a favorite indoor spot. It’s not easy to adjust to condo life in the Care Center but I’m making the best of things and because I’ve been around 3 boisterous pre-teens, I’m used to dealing with a little hubbub in my life–though I’d always prefer to avoid it! I’m very friendly and love human contact so I’ll always let you know when its time for socializing (hint, hint…this head ain’t patting itself) but I like having alone time too and then I’ll mosey off to find a quiet place just for me. You’re probably wondering why a handsome catch like myself is still rollin’ solo, huh? I’m already neutered and could literally leave today but it seems like a lot of people are looking for a younger cat. I guess they didn’t hear that with age comes wisdom, gratitude, training and half a lifetime of knowing what it means to be a pet–I got experience over here, folks! I’m handsome and healthy (those extra pounds are just winter padding, I swear) and boy, would I love to get out of here and back to living the good life in a real home. Any chance you have one you’d like to share?
