07/22/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Carlos was at the front, calm and relaxed. He becomes stiff and alert when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Carlos meows and lies flat against the ground. Reaction to touch: Carlos hisses at the assessor’s hand and tries to shift away, but he allows petting and remains immobile. When continuing to pet him, he attempts to flee. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Carlos tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
