CAMPANELLE – A1045094

***SAFE 08/07/15***ANOTHER CHANCE FOR THIS TERRIFIC TUXEDO KITTEN MADE AN EXCELLENT RECOVERY FROM PYOMETRA SPAY—BUT ACC STILL PLANS TO KILL HER ANYWAY—BE CAMPANELLE’S RESCUE ANGEL! Sad sigh! Campanelle was trapped and brought to the ACC because her finder saw feces in his garden. She was scanned through a net and after a little hissing, calmed down and revealed her true colors. Campanelle is an 11 month old sweet but sad and scared kitty who desperately needs us to advocate for her precious life tonight. She tolerates handling but is obviously stressed at the shelter. After an emergency pyometra spay, Campanelle made a wonderful recovery. Now that she is healthy, the ACC plans to kill her when noon tomorrow rolls around. If you think this is insane and ready to do something and be THE SOMEBODY in “SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING,” please reserve this terrific tux tonight. Can you help—even offering temporary safe haven? If you can make a purrmanent commitment, please reserve Campanelle online or contact a NH rescue for help with transportation (available if you live within a few hours) or let them know if you can help with fostering. This terrific tux needs a rescue angel. Can that special someone be you?

07/23/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
07/23/15 12:42 Campanelle was trapped and brought to ACC because her finder saw feces in his garden. We transferred her with a net. At first, she hissed and tried to flee. After a few minutes alone in the net, she had a soft body while I pet and scanned her through the net (-). She was tense while I picked her up and carried her inside the net. She allowed me to move the net around her while she walked out and into her kennel. She resist or vocalize or try to flee again. I took her picture in her kennel.

07/26/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Champanelle was inside a hidey box upon approach. She becomes stiff and alert when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Champanelle remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Champanelle remains stiff and lowers her head when touched. She remains in place for petting, but twitches when touched on her body and starts breathing rapidly. We recommend going extremely slow when interacting with her, because she will attempt to flee with any sudden movements. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Champanelle tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
