08/18/15 19:42 California is 4 month old calico female domestic shorthair kitten who arrived as a stray surrender. Upon intake California was not handled, counselor was not able to scan for microchip or collar but was able to photograph in the carrier.

Reaction to Assessor: California remains calm, relaxed, and friendly upon approach. She tries to sniff the assessor when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: California remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: California remains in place for petting, leans on the assessor, and begins to purr. Reaction to being picked up: California remains calm and allows handling. Behavior Determination: Beginner California interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
