***SAFE 06/16/15*** LACTATING CALICO CUTIE, DUMPED WITHOUT HER KITTENS, IS PERFECTLY HEALTHY, WITH A GOOD BEHAVIOR RATING, BUT THE ACC KILL KILL HER ANYWAY – PLEASE GRANT CALI A DEATH ROW PARDON!!! Charming three-year-old calico cutie CALI arrived at the kill-happy ACC as a LACTATING STRAY, but she came ALL ALONE, without her kittens! The ACC said she was a “NICE CAT” who “ALLOWED HANDLING” at intake. Attention-seeking Cali went on to earn a very good EXPNOCHILD behavior rating. Her latest medical notes tell us that Cali is “Eating well. Attention seeking, but work slowly. Patient enjoys being petted and stroked on her head, but resents hind end petting and/or abdominal palpation.” She’s probably wondering where her poor kittens are! Sadly, the heartless ACC will MURDER this sweet mama-without-kittens at noon tomorrow, despite the fact that Cali is PERFECTLY HEALTHY! Hasn’t she lost enough already – first her kittens, and now her life? Please start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt sweet calico girl CALI! If you can’t save CALI yourself, please SHARE her sad story and PLEDGE for her rescue!

06/15/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Cali is not thriving in the care center. While social and interactive during her initial medical exam and her behavior evaluation, she has begun growling and striking when approached in her cage. She was also quite anxious at the time of intake, and she did not tolerate being picked up during her behavior evaluation. We feel it is in Cali’s best interest to move quickly into a stable home environment, and we continue to recommend experienced cat adopters willing to allow Cali to adjust at her own pace and who understand that she may continue to demonstrate these behaviors when stressed. We also recommend a home without children. 6/13 eval: Notes: Cali was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying seemly friendly behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, tolerates all petting. Cali does not allow any type of handling. This could be due to her condition. Cali is displaying behavior appropriate for experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but looks at you, calm, relaxed When spoken quietly: does not come to front but looks at you, calm, relaxed a Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: allows petting and attention Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of handling, bites and swat if attempted Placement Determination: Experience no child
