*SAFE 08/13/15- Cute As A BUTTONS! 6-Month Old Tabby Kitten Needs Socializing!
Brooklyn Center
BUTTONS – A1047437
I am an unaltered female, gray tabby Domestic Shorthair mix.
The shelter staff think I am about 6 months old.
I weigh 4 pounds.
I was found in NY 11208.
I have been at the shelter since Aug 10, 2015.
Reaction to Assessor: Buttons does not come to the front, but remains neutral in her cage. She focuses on the assessor and starts to breathe rapidly when softly spoken to.
Reaction to cage door opening: Buttons becomes stiff and alert.
Reaction to touch: Buttons tries to avoid touch and retreats from the assessor’s hand. She is very tense and focused on the hand. She allows brief touch, but hisses and tries to flee from the cage.
Behavior Determination: New Hope Only
Buttons is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. She is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
