***SAFE 07/08/15***BEAUTIFUL BUBBLES SAD AND SCARED BETRAYED HOUSEPET NEEDS YOU! Bubbles is a six year old gorgeous grey tabby who was sadly surrendered with several of her housemates including Duke (also listed tonight) due to their owners’ “personal problems.” That’s no lie, because that wretched level of commitment on their end points up a host of flaws in their character…but more importantly, it could be the death warrant for poor Bubbles. This great girl was calm and friendly—just like her former owner said but then got naturally stressed at the shelter. This pretty kitty is confused, frustrated, and bereft, emotions she has been processing. To add insult to injury, beautiful Bubbles has been slapped with a NH rating along with a date with death tomorrow afternoon.. Please help Bubbles and her feline friend, Duke find the sort of family they should have had in the first place. It’s time that humans stop betraying this cat, and start fighting for her. Won’t you please help write a happy ending to this sad tale? Please contact a NH rescue if you can open up your heart and home to beautiful Bubbles and-or darling Duke!

07/06/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Bubbles was calm and relaxed upon approach. When softly spoken to, she meows and rubs her cheeks against her litter box. Reaction to cage door opening: Bubbles remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Bubbles allows brief touch, but stiffens up and hisses hard at the assessor’s hand. She continues to solicit attention again by rubbing on various objects in her cage, but begins to yowl, hisses each time she is touched, and lifts her paw to prepare to swat. Behavior Determination: NH ONLY Bubbles is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. She does not currently tolerate petting or handling. Due to her willingness to strike out in order to avoid handling in certain situations, the behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
