BRUMHILDA – A1044581
7-22-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 07/22/15*** Despite her name, BRUMHILDA does not act like a witch! She’s a bit stressed since her family of 2 years has DUMPED her off at the ACC citing “personal problems”. She had lived with 2 adult’s,one infant and another CAT. She did not interact with the infant or adults but did get along well with the cat. This SPAYED girl may just never have connected with her previous owners! So now she needs a new home. Somewhere, where cats are treated like a part of the family, not dumped when there is conflict! Please contact a NEW HOPE RESCUE and offer to foster or adopt BRUMHILDA TODAY!

07/20/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Brumhilda was hiding under paper, peeking out and focusing at the assessor. She continues to stare at the assessor when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Brumhilda remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Brumhilda hisses as the assessor removes the paper from over her. She lowers her head and is immobile when pet. Her ears turn sideways and she starts to breathe rapidly during the interaction. As per previous owner, Brumhilda was a stray cat that they’ve kept in their home for almost 2 years. She has lived with 2 adults, an infant, and another cat. She is very fearful and tends to hide to avoid interactions. Brumhilda will flee from them, but does not become defensive and does not attempt to scratch or bite. She is playful and receptive to the other cat and may come out for play with a laser pointer, but will flee if approached. She is less fearful when distracted by play with the other cat or with toys. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Brumhilda tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
