BRAZIL – A1043495
7-15-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 07/15/15*** SHY AND TIMID BRAZIL WAS A STRAY WHO WAS HUNGRY AND APPROACHED PEOPLE FOR FOOD – SO SOMEONE FINALLY CAUGHT HIM AND DUMPED THIS 2 YEAR OLD EBONY KITTY AND NOW HE WILL DIE FOR HIS FEAR!!! BRAZIL was only hungry – and it is going to cost him his life. He was stray who would come to people to be fed but now that he was caught and dumped in the shelter the tiny cage and scary strange place is just too much for this boy. He stays in his hidey box inside his cage in fear and swatted when the assessor put his fake plastic hand in to touch him. Of course he got a NEW HOPE rating so you have to contact a rescue to pull this handsome house panther to safety. BRAZIL is only afraid. With some patience and love he will come out of his shell and be your best friend! CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO SAVE HIS LIFE AND GIVE HIM A CHANCE FOR A FUREVER HOME!

07/13/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Brazil was inside his hidey box upon approach. When softly spoken to, he looks through the peep hole with relaxed eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Brazil remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Brazil does not allow touch; he hisses from inside the box and swats the hand by the opening. Note: Brazil was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He was timid and shy upon intake, and attempts to flee from people. He became defensive during his initial medical exam, possibly due to nervousness as well. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Brazil is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. He has tried to swat, is extremely fearful in the shelter environment, and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
