Gone 9-2-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 09/02/15*** BEAUTIFUL BOOTSIE WAS FOUND IN HIS CARRIER IN A TRAIN STATION WITH NOTHING BUT HIS FOOD BOWL IN THE CARRIER. THE TRANSIT OFFICERS BROUGHT HIM TO THE ACC AND NOW HE IS GOING TO BE KILLED!! BOOTSIE was friendly and purring when he was rescued by the transit cops at a train station where his owner abandoned him. How heartless and cruel can you be? BOOTSIE was perfectly healthy on intake but has since caught the shelter cold and now they will end his life after rescue!! BOOTSIE is nervous and got an EXPERIENCE RATING from the assessor but this is only due to his fear. BOOTSIE NEEDS TO BE BACK IN A HOME AGAIN! IF YOU CAN ADOPT OR FOSTER CONTACT A RESCUE NOW!!

08/02/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
08/02/15 19:50 Bootsie is a stray cat who was found at a train station by transit officers. Bootsie was left with nothing but her food and food bowl inside of a cat carrier. Bootsie is a black and white female cat who appears to be in good health. Bootsie was nervous and was slightly difficult in transferring her into a new larger carrier. Once transferred Bootsie allowed herself to be photographed inside of her carrier but would not allow herself to be collared retreating further into her carrier when an attempt was made to collar her. Bootsie was nervous but did not demonstrate any signs of reactive behavior.

08/05/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Bootsie becomes alert upon approach. He blinks slowly at the assessor when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Bootsie remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Bootsie was hesitant at first, but remains in place and is calm when pet on his head and back. However, he continues to watch the assessor’s hand and lip licks during the interaction. He may be a little shy and unsure. Reaction to being picked up: Bootsie remains calm and allows handling. Behavior Determination: Experience Bootise tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
