*** GONE 07/1015 *** HUSBAND DUMPS WIFE’S BELOVED CAT BECAUSE HE HAS “NO TIME”…..The wife that loved BOONIE passed away 4 months ago and rather than honor his wife’s memory and taking care of BOONIE (who rubs up against his legs), he decided to dump BOONIE here. This calico cutie lived with a Chihuahua that she got along very well with…..apparently the Chihuahua is still in the home. And the ACC doesn’t have time for BOONIE either since they haven’t bothered to give her a medical or behavioral evaluation, just threw her on the list…..PLEASE SAVE THIS BELOVED PET AND GET HER A NEW HOME WHERE SHE WILL BE CHERISHED…..OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT NOW!!

06/30/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
06/30/15 20:19 BASIC INFO Boonie’s primary owner passed away 4 months ago. Her husband doesn’t have time to care for her and surrendered her. His wife got her about 5 years ago but he doesn’t know where she got her from. SOCIALIZATION Boonie hasn’t been around children or other cats. She lived with a Chihuahua and was relaxed, affectionate, and tolerant with him. They slept and played together often. She rubs against the legs of her current owner and new people that come over. She’s only been pet and picked up by her owner that passed away. She hasn’t bit/scratched anyone. BEHAVIOR Boonie is nervous in the car. She doesn’t mind being put in a carrier or woken up. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Boonie’s family describes her as friendly, playful, independent, and quiet. She has had a low energy level since her owner passed away. She had followed her everywhere. She plays with balls. She lived inside and slept on a chair. She ate dry and wet cat food. She’s littertrained and doesn’t have accidents. She used an uncovered litterbox with clay litter. She scratched couches and chairs but didn’t have a scratching post. INTAKE Boonie was tense but allowed us to pick up, hold, pet, scan (-), collar, position her for pictures, and take her in and out of her kennel. She didn’t resist/retreat/vocalize.
