Medical Summary Allowed handling and was very vocal during initial Skin was coming off the right hind leg Possible ink explosion or some kind of dye all over the cats inner back legs and parts of the tail. Could of lick the area and ingested the ink or dye Cleaned with gauze and peroxide Cleaning items kept to show what came off the cat Small amount of hairloss on the tail Base of tail has a laceration that’s scabbing Is drooling excessively Reported that the cat has not ate in two days but appears to be hydrated Reported that the cat was bleeding from the anus but no blood was seen in the area. Scan negative for a microchip Eyes were clear Nose= a little bit of clear discharge Intact male Teeth appeared to be intact. No display of dental disease Moved to medical NOSF

Observation:
Possible that material cleaned off cat was gentian violet–may have tried home remedy for something. Skin sloughed off when rubbed with peroxide, raw underneath, left unbandaged to drain.

Was able to wipe more dye off of cat, but is persistant. Will need multiple baths to clean completely.

probable contact toxicity on tongue due to dye on fur

rx clavamox, bath
good prognosis

Behavior:
Reaction to assessor: Boo Radley was at the front soliciting attention by meowing and rubbing all over the cage door. When softly spoken to, he continues to meow and rubs more vigorously against the door.
Reaction to cage door opening: Boo Radley remains soft and relaxed.
Reaction to touch: Boo Radley head-butts the assessor’s hand, twirls around in a circle, and continues to rub against the assessor. He purrs loudly during the interaction.
Reaction to being picked up: Boo Radley remains calm and allows handling.
Behavior Determination: Beginner
Boo Radley interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
