SAFE 04/21/15 – Boo Boo was sadly surrender to the ACC because her owner moved to a place that has a no pet policy. Boo Boo is estimated to be around 14 yrs old per owner and is a mellow cat. Boo Boo lost the only home she’s known and now tomorrow she may lose her life. She needs your help and will make someone a wonderful companion if given the chance. Please don’t let it end like this for Boo Boo. She deserves a second chance.

04/10/15 11:55 NAME: Boo Boo REASON FOR SURRENDER The owner is moving to a location with a no pet policy. RELATIONSHIP Boo Boo is estimated to be 14 years of age and has been with his owner for the last 13 and a half years. PEOPLE Boo Boo has only lived with adults. According to the owner he mostly lays around and is not very attention seeking, but he is relaxed. OTHER ANIMALS It is unknown how he is with other cats, but the owner stated that a puppy would visit frequently and Boo Boo had no issue with the little terrier mix. Boo Boo even let the pup lick him according to the owner. PERSONALITY/HABITS Boo Boo is a gray and white cat. The owner states he lays around mostly, but will occasionally follow him aound. He does have a vertical scratching post made of rope that he uses, but doens’t play with toys. The owner states he will struggle to get out of your hands if you pick him up and will also fight to go into the carrier. The owner describes him as mellow, quiet, and friendly. TRAINING Boo uses an uncovered litterbox with crystal litter. It is very rare he will go outside of the litterbox, but it has happend. The owner is unsure of why. MEDICAL Currently Boo Boo has a growth on his left front leg and a wound near his nose from an unknown origin. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE Boo Boo sat quietly towards the front of the carrier. His paws were tucked in. He allowed the cousnelor to pet him and check out his growth, but he pulled his leg away very gently. He was easy to collar and very patient with the counselor when she wasn’t able to clasp the collar right away.

Owner Profile: Boo Boo previous owner bought her into care center because they moved to a place that does not allow pets. Boo Boo has only lived with adults so his behavior around children is unknown. It is unknown how he is with other cats, but the owner stated that a puppy would visit frequently and Boo Boo had no issue with the puppy. Boo Boo is litter box trained. It is very rare he will go outside of the litterbox, but it has happend. The owner is unsure of why. Notes: Boo Boo seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment she was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. She growls and hisses when you approach the cage. She also does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
