BLAIR – A1049115
8-29-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 08/29/15*** BLAIR and another CAT were found in BAGS on the road! Yes,IN BAGS! There is no way anyone has the right to do such a HORRIBLE thing to a living being! So the 1 year old girl is scared and stressed in the shelter. Really? How else COULD SHE BE EXPECTED TO ACT? She was literally left like trash on the street! Anyone with half a brain would EXPECT her to be scared! So her problem NOW is the RESCUE ONLY rating she unfairly received! Please, PLEASE contact a NEW HOPE RESCUE! Tell them that you will save her! Don’t let her last image of life mean so little.when just one person could mean so much!

08/25/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
08/25/15 15:13 Blair and Salem were found in bags on the sidewalk together. Their finder brought them straight here. Blair had a soft body while we pet her, scanned her (-), and transferred her to a cage. Later, she hissed when we approached and extended our hands towards her. She didn’t strike. We took her pictures in her kennel. We covered her kennel. When we returned to her again later, she had a soft body and allowed us to pet, collar, pick up, and put her into a carrier. She didn’t resist/retreat/vocalize during this interaction.

08/28/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Blair looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Blair remains lying down on her cage bedding, alert with soft eyes. Reaction to touch: Blair does not allow the stroke, sits up in place, began to low growl and hisses at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Blair is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is stressed in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
