BLACKJACK – A1045338
8-4-2015 Staten Island Rescue: Feline Rescue of SI Please honor your pledges: http://felinerescueofstatenisland.org/donation/
***SAFE 08/04/15*** PERFECTLY HEALTHY KITTEN CUTIE HAS A GREAT BEHAVIOR RATING, BUT THE ACC WILL MURDER HER ANYWAY – PLEASE GRANT BLACKJACK A DEATH ROW PARDON!!! Adorable brown tabby and white kitten BLACKJACK, just 12 weeks old, finds herself stuffed into the ACC’s Death Camp for Kitties as a SUPPOSED “STRAY”, but she entered the shelter FREE of fleas, at a healthy weight, with perfectly clean fur, so it’s obvious that this baby is a lost or abandoned pet kitten. Blackjack earned a very good EXPNOCHILD behavior rating for the TRUSTING way she ALLOWED PETTING. But the ACC will KILL this tiny charmer at noon tomorrow, despite the fact that dear Blackjack is PERFECTLY HEALTHY! The ACC claims that they NEVER kill healthy cats and kittens, but poor Blackjack is PROOF that they DO INDEED KILL THEM, on a DAILY BASIS. Let’s get this darling girl into a loving forever home instead. Start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt precious tabby kitten BLACKJACK! If you can’t save BLACKJACK yourself, please SHARE her sad story and PLEDGE for her rescue!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Hiding in the back of the cage. (3) Reaction to being spoken to quietly: Continues to hide. (3) Reaction to cage door opening: Remains motionless. (2) Reaction to touch: Tense, but allows light petting. (2) Reaction to being picked up: Hisses, swats at me. Notes: Blackjack came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. At the time of the assessment, Blackjack is displaying tense behavior. She avoids interaction with the assessor and becomes fractious with extended handling. Blackjack is exhibiting behavior suited to experienced cat parents with no children who can help her become comfortable in a home environment.
