The owner is not allowed to have Cats in their new home. Blacky is declawed and has never been to the vet. Blacky has never had any health issues or injuries. Socialization Blacky has experience being around children. When Blacky plays with children he’s very obsessive and somewhat rough. Blacky has never been around dogs. Blacky has experiences with cats However; sometimes she gets into fights with other cats. Blacky has a medium activity level. Blacky is best described as quiet and confident. Behavior Blacky has no pervious bite history. Blacky does not like to be picked up. When Blacky is around people she does not know she hisses and shows for teeth. When she is picked up she gets tense and nervous. Blacky is likes to take baths and to get her nails trimmed. For a new family to know Blacky is litter box trained and uses the fresh step clumping litter. Blacky only eats dry food. Blacky liked to follow his previous owner around the house and rub against him when Blacky is happy.

Owner Profile: Black Diamond was bought into the care center due to the previous owner not allowed to have pets. Black Diamond has experience being around children. When Black Diamond plays with children she is very obsessive and somewhat rough. Black Diamond behavior around dogs is unknown. She has experience with cats. She sometimes gets into fights with other cats. Black Diamond has a medium activity level. Blacky is best described as quiet and confident. Notes: At the time of the assessment she was displaying conflicting behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, tolerates petting. Black Diamond does not like being touched on her back and will begin to growl. She is displaying behavior appropriate for experienced cat parents with no children. Reaction to assessor: resting at back of cage When spoken quietly: turns around to face assessor, appears relaxed Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: allows limited petting and attention, she does not like her back touched. Scanned negative BAR – mildly dehydrated Growled, tried to bite – 0.1mL Telazol given for exam S~ 8 years (spay scar noted on shave) Eyes: cloudy; vision not impaired Ears, nose clear Mouth: Missing most teeth (molars, lower right canine, most incisors), remaining teeth chipped, heavy tartar; red and inflamed at roots, receding gums. Feed soft food only Shaved areas on left front leg, left hind leg (now beginning to regrow) – possibly previously catheterized? Tail appears short with stubbed end. Yellow diarrhea noted in cage on 08/04/15 by Vet; no diarrhea noted on initial. Parvo test negative. Not enough sample available to run fecal test. Declawed all four feet.
