BINKY – A0829143
8-20-2015 Brooklyn Rescue: Staten Island Hope Please honor your pledges: http://www.statenislandhoperescue.org/
**SAFE 08/20/15** Poor BINKY thought she had seen the last of the ACC when she was adopted from the shelter system a few years back. She has done nothing but be a happy, friendly pet and a great companion to a child in the home. Unfortunately, her people have had a change in circumstance and BINKY finds herself back at the ACC with only an EXPERIENCE rating next to her name. This pretty girl has proven herself to be an excellent companion who is WELL worth saving, tonight!

08/17/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Binky was inside a hidey box, peeking out from the opening and is alert upon approach. She lip licks and shifts back inside the box when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Binky sticks her head back out and remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Binky was hesitant of touch, but closes her eyes and softly leans on the assessor’s hand. She continues to lip lick and seems wary of the environment, but begins to purr as the assessor continues to pet her. The assessor attempts to coax her out of the box, but she remains inside with her head sticking out, and appreciates petting from within the box. As per previous owner, Binky has lived with two adults and one ten year old boy. Binky has not lived with any other animals and has never been exposed to dogs. She is curious when visitors come to the home, but will go to her own place. She is tolerant and affectionate towards the child she lived with. Binky has not been bathed because she does not like water. She does enjoy being brushed and doesn’t mind when picked up. Behavior Determination: Experience Binky tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
