06/05/15 13:04 Basic Information: Bijoux is a 5 year old female. Bijoux was bred at home and mostly outdoors. Bijoux has never been to the vet. Bijoux was surrendered because owner believes Bijoux has a health issue. Social Life and Personality: Bijoux lived with one adult and with many cats. Bijoux behavior is unknown towards children. Owner stated Bijoux is relaxed and affectionate towards owner. Bijoux has never been around dogs. She is an indoor/outdoor cat and activity level is to a low and mostly lays around. Owner stated Bijoux is playful, mellow, friendy, affectionate, quiet and independent. Behavior Issues: Bijoux hasn’t bitten and scratched owner but not in the past 10 days. Bijoux never had a bath or nail trimmed. She likes to be picked up and held. Bijoux will pur and likes human contact. For a New Family to Know: Bijoux is litter box trained and shared an uncovered litter box with other cats. The litter box was changed 3 times a week. Bijoux likes to play with balls and catnip. Owner stated she had a scratching post outside out of carpet. Bijoux favorite spot was in the kitchen. Bijoux eats dry food twice a day. Bijoux will mostly be outdoors in back yard morning and evening then at nigh come inside the house owner stated. Intake Behavior: Upon intake Bijoux was calm and relaxed. She scanned negative for a microchip and allowed all handling.

Owner Profile: Bijoux was bought into the care center by her previous owner because he believes Bijoux has a health issue. Bijoux lived with one adult and with many cats. Bijoux behavior is unknown towards children. The pevious owner stated Bijoux is relaxed and affectionate towards him. Bijoux has never been around dogs so her behavior remains unknown towards them. She is an indoor/outdoor cat and activity level is to a low and mostly lays around. The previous owner stated Bijoux is playful, mellow, friendy, affectionate, quiet and independent. Notes: Bijoux at the time of the assessment she was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices she relaxed a little and I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: retreats Reaction to touch: allows limited petting,hisses Reaction to toy or novel object: shows no interest in playing Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling but tense.
