SAFE 8/4/15 A volunteer writes: Mr. Gray will see you now. There are no gray areas here–Big Gray is 100% affectionate and loving. The gray of his fur makes him look very distinguished. And as any Grateful Dead fan can tell you, every silver lining has a touch of gray. Big Gray will make your clouds all disappear. He’s single, he’s gorgeous and he’s available!

Notes: Big Gray was brought to the care center as an owner surrender but we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Big Gray is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner.
Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but looks at you, is calm, relaxed and friendly
When spoken quietly: comes to the front of cage, soliciting, rubbing against front
Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft and relaxed
Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention
Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling
