BEULAH – A1046412
8-24-2015 Brooklyn Rescue: Anjellicle Cats Rescue Please honor your pledges: http://bit.ly/BeulahA1046412
**SAFE 08/24/15** Another night, another PERFECTLY ADOPTABLE kitten slated to die at the ACC! BEULAH is a 4-month old dude whose eye is bumming him out because he’s got conjunctivitis, and he’s frightened of his new surroundings, but that won’t slow him down for long! Once BEULAH gets out of the ACC, detours to the vet’s for a quick checkup and then settles into his new home, this guy will prove to be the best decision someone ever made! The only way for BEULAH to get that happy ending is for someone to foster or adopt him tonight. Please advocate widely for this excellent young boy!

08/02/15 20:11 Litter Mates : Bart : A1046409 Betsy : A1046410 Butterfly : A1046411 Beulah : A1046412 Beulah is a white and orange cat who is almost 4 mos. old. Beulah was found along with her litter mates and brought into ACC today as strays. Beulah was slightly difficult to handle due to the fact that she was nervous. Beulah did not allow herself to be transferred into a new carrier right away but eventually relaxed enough to be transferred. Beulah was nervous meowing often and retreating further into her carrier. Due to Beulah’s nervous behavior she was not collared or photographed. Beulah will need some time to adjust to her new environment.

08/05/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Beulah was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer. I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. I was also able to pick him up and although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: retreats Reaction to touch: tries to avoid being touched, appears nervous Try picking cat up: Beulah allows some handling but prefers not to be held Placement Determination: Experience
