BETTY – A1043617
7-15-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 07/15/15*** BETTY WAS FOUND IN A SCHOOL YARD, along with 5 of her fur-sibs. Abandoned and thin, they were frightened but gentle, and BETTY is a lovely ten year old girl who probably took comfort from her cat family and frightened, still has been loving and gentle during her stay at ACC. Why do people abandon innocent cats this way? Would whoever did it care that this gentle senior is now facing death tomorrow? BETTY NEEDS YOU! What can be told of the sweetness of a slightly older cat-who still plays, and who so appreciates your lap, your arms, your closeness? BETTY without you is in grave danger-old cats are often the first euthanized at ACC-and this sweet girl deserves better, don’t you think, then being abandoned, then killed? Please save BETTY tonight! She doesn’t need much-and will give so much love and joy in return. She is kindness personified and so needs you! SAVE BETTY!!! Don’t let her die!!!! Reach out and say yes!

07/11/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
07/11/15 13:15 6 cats were found on the property of a school together. All are thin and appear to be older. Betty and Barney have crusty ocular discharge. Barney’s ears are so short they’re barely there. Bam Bam’s ears are a little curled at the end. He’s the least thin and may be younger than the others. All of the cats were a little tense but tolerant of being pet, scanned (Betty is the only cat who scanned positive), picked up, positioned for pictures, sexed, and put in kennels. They were easy to handle and didn’t resist or vocalize. They mostly retreated to the back of their kennels. While together, they cuddled close together. They all ate wet food quickly. When we returned to their kennels, they approached us, sniffed us, and rubbed against us a little. They allowed us to pick them up and put them in carriers.
