I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 05/28/2015 from NY 10453, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

05/28/15 12:29 BASIC INFO: Betty A1037830 was found in a backyard. She was friendly when placed in carrier. Finder cannot keep due to the fact that the cat is not theirs. Finder stated that they have been seeing Betty around for about 2 years. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE: Betty was very sweet and friendly upon inbtake. She allowed all handling, collaring and photos. She went right into the kennel and sat in the back of it. She allowed petting and was not bothered at all.

Reaction to assessor: Betty looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Betty remains crouched down no his cage bedding, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Betty seems indifferent to your presence and touch. Placement determination: Experience Betty tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter. She does not approach or solicit attention but when pet gently she will head butt and rub against the assessor’s hand. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
