Now BERGAMONT is going to be killed for a bad cold tomorrow……BERGAMONT is a low energy senior who would be purrfect in a home setting that wants a quiet companion…..or for a working person who would love company but is not home during the day..BERGAMONT has a few issues that need to be looked at by a vet and some chicken soup for his cold and he will be good to go!! 03/25/15 14:06 BASIC INFO Bergamont’s family got him from a friend 12 years ago when he was a kitten. His owner is injured and needs to stay in the hospital. PEOPLE Bergamont lived with 2 adults. He’s shy with strangers including children 10 and older. He hides from smaller children completely. He hasn’t bit anyone. ANIMALS Bergamont hasn’t been around other pets. PERSONALITY Bergamont’s family describes him as friendly, affectionate, shy, quiet, mellow, independent, and low activity. He spends most of his day sleeping by himself but enjoys sitting in their laps as well. He doesn’t play with people anymore, but he still likes catnip toys. HABITS Bergamont lived inside and slept on the end of his owner’s bed. He ate dry Purina Cat Chow and wet Fancy Feast food. He used an uncovered litterbox with clumping litter. He scratched a vertical carpeted post. TRAINING Bergamont is littertrained and doesn’t have accidents. He doesn’t scratch furniture. MEDICAL Bergamont has been eating less and losing weight. He vomited several times for a few hours one day about a week ago when his owners fed him a different variety of cat food. BEHAVIOR Bergamont doesn’t have any known behavior issues. He enjoys being brushed. He doesn’t mind being put in a carrier or woken up. He’s afraid during baths. He struggles when someone trims his nails or picks up and holds him. INTAKE Bergamont appeared a little tense in his carrier. He didn’t respond much to being pet, collared, or scanned. We transferred him to the counter on his towel. He lied down and look around while we took pictures. He started to slowly walk around. We picked him up and guided him into a carrier. He was easy to handle and didn’t resist, retreat, or vocalize.

Owner Profile: Bergamont was surrender to the care center because his owner is injured and needs to stay in the hospital. Bergamont lived with 2 adults. He’s shy with strangers including children 10 and older. He hides from smaller children completely.Bergamont’s family describes him as friendly, affectionate, shy, quiet, mellow, independent, and low activity. He spends most of his day sleeping by himself but enjoys sitting in their laps as well. He has not been introduced to other pets. Bergamont is littertrained and doesn’t have accidents. Notes: At the time of the assessment he was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer .I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. Although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) Reaction to door cage opening: becomes alert (2) Reaction to touch: moves away (2) Reaction to toy or novel object: shows no interest in playing (3) Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling but tense.
