***SAFE 11/23/15*** BROOKS,BENZ and BENTLEY were brought in together by the Finder. Brooks may be the mama cat to two kittens, 5 month old BENTLEY and BENZ. These guys need EXPERIENCED new cat owners and would be really nice to keep this trio together. Offer to FOSTER or ADOPT BENTLEY,BENZ and 3 year old BROOKS. Keep this little family together, and you’ll reward your family with love!

I am a male gray and white domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 5 MONTHS old.

I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/18/2015 from NY 11212, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-039977.

11/20/2015 Exam Type VACCINATE – Medical Rating is 1 – NORMAL , Behavior Rating is EXPERIENCE, Weight 3.5 LBS.

11/18/15 19:36 Benz iz a 5 month old grey and white male kitten that came in as a stray with a litter mate. Finder stated that a man spotted them near his job and asked her to pick them up. She also stated that she was unable to handle them and had to use a trap to get them. Upon intake, Benz displayed signs of nervousness; he retreated to the back of the carrier and the slightest sounds caused him to jump. Assistance was needed to collar and photograph him; however, he displayed no signs of behavior issues.

Reaction to assessor: Benz does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Benz does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: Benz remains motionless Reaction to touch: Benz seems indifferent to my presence and touch Try picking cat up: Benz is tolerant of this type of handling but tense. Behavior Determination: Experience At the time of the assessment Benz was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer. I was able to pet him and interact with him. I was also able to pick him up. Although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
