***SAFE 07/08/15*** PERFECTLY HEALTHY YOUNG GINGER KITTEN WILL DIE DUE TO HIS FEAR – PLEASE GRANT BENJAMIN A DEATH ROW PARDON!!! Handsome laddie BENJAMIN, a 19-month-old ginger and white kitten, finds himself stuffed into the kill-happy ACC as a “STRAY”. Poor Benjamin is overwhelmed and terrified in the scary shelter setting, so he was PUNISHED with New Hope Only and fast-tracked to the noon kill list for tomorrow, despite the fact that poor Benjamin is PERFECTLY HEALTHY! The ACC claims that they DON’T kill healthy cats, but Benjamin is PROOF that they DO kill them on a daily basis. Please open your heart and home to this adorable ginger kitten, who will gentle down as soon as he escapes the ACC hellhole. Start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt scared, shy ginger boy BENJAMIN from the approved New Hope rescue groups! If you can’t save BENJAMIN yourself, please SHARE his sad story and PLEDGE for his rescue!

07/06/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Benjamin was at the front, calm and relaxed. When softly spoken to, he attempts to sniff the assessor and lip licks. Reaction to cage door opening: Benjamin remains immobile. Reaction to touch: Benjamin is very hesitant of touch; he shifts away and moves away from touch, and lifts his paw as a warning to avoid touch. He nips gently, pats the hand lightly, and stares at it. Each time I try to pet him, he ducks away and pats the hand. Behavior Determination: NH ONLY Benjamin is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. He tried to swat, is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. Due to his willingness to strike out in order to avoid handling in certain situations, the behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
