I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 12/16/2015 from NY 11220, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-042731.

12/16/15 21:25 Intake behavior: This cat walked striaght into the carrier from the dog cage that it was in with the other cats. It also allowed me to collar it with no issue.

A volunteer writes: Bellemy was brought in as a stray, so we don’t know about his past. This sweet young man with the warm soft eyes looked like he would like some attention, so I was happy to oblige. He enjoyed being pet, rolling around and purring, and seemed very grateful for the attention. While he does seem very easygoing, he would do well with parents with some experience with cats. I can see him doing really well in a home environment, if he sounds like your kind of cat, he is waiting to meet you.

Reaction to assessor: Bellemy looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Bellemy remains crouched position at the front of the cage, alert with eyes wide open, stress meowing. Reaction to touch: Bellemy accepts the stroke, began to roll over in place and purr however, he remains uncertain with his surroundings. Placement determination: Experience Bellemy tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
