*** GONE 07/21/15*** BEAUTIFUL BELLE IS NOT A HAPPY CAMPER AFTER BEING DUMPED FOR PERSONAL PROBLEMS – NOW SHE CAUGHT A COLD AND THE ACC WILL KILL HER FOR IT. BELLE is the one with a problem now – she is fighting for her life. This wonderful 2 year old cat was brought into the shelter perfectly heatlhy and has since caught a cold. The ACC doesn’t treat colds they kill the cat instead. BELLE was said to be a good cat and liked to be around her owner. She was soliciting attention and petting but got an EXPERIENCE rating because she growled a bit due to being nervous. Don’t let this girl become another statistic – CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL HER TO SAFETY.

07/05/15 19:28 Belle is a 2 year old gray female domestic shorthair cat who is being surrendered because her family can no longer take care of her. Belle has been with the family for 2 years. Belle lived with 2 adults and 1 teenager. Belle is an indoor cat and has not been exposed to dogs or cats. Belle has not been exposed to young children. She uses a litter box with crystal litter. Belle is receptive to petting and contact when she initiates for it. Belle is not tolerant of bathes and has not had her nails trimmed. Belle can be picked up when she allows for it and does not like brushing. Belle likes balls that she can play swat and chase with and wand toys. Belle has a scratching post made of cardboard which she does not use and will scratch furniture in the home. When the family is home she likes to be where they are but also will go to her own private place. Belle mostly prefers dry food. Upon intake Belle was not handled. Counselor did not scan for microchip, collar or photograph.

Owner Profile: Belle was bought into the care center by his previous owner due to no longer being able to care for the cat. Belle lived with two adults and one teenager. Belle is an indoor cat and has not been exposed to dogs or cats so her behavior towards remains unknown. Belle has not been exposed to young children either so her behavior towards them also remains unknown. Belle is litter box trained. Notes: Please be advised that Belle seems to be in heat at the time of assessment, and the behavior presented at the time of evaluation may differ when the heat cycle is complete due to a change in hormonal balance. Belle at the time of the assessment was displaying soical behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, tolerates all petting. Belle is displaying behavior appropriate for a experience cat owner. Reaction to assessor: comes to the front of the cage, soliciting, rubbing against the cage front, chirps When spoken quietly: stays at front, continues soliciting attention,chirps Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft & relaxed Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention, chirps, low growls after awhile Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of handling, low growled when attempted Placement Determination: Experience
