BEEKER – A1050549
Safe 9-12-2015 Brooklyn
***SAFE 09/12/15***BEEKER was found as a stray and brought into the shelter. At 14 weeks, this adorable kitten with the striking black and white coloring is all about asserting himself. He will be picked up and loved, but on his own terms, and he’s not too pleased about being in a small cage at a noisy shelter. This cutie would be great in a home with experienced cat owners and no children. But BEEKER doesn’t have time on his side. If he’s not fostered or adopted, this handsome guy with the larger than life personality will be just a memory. Please give this precious little guy a chance to be your furry friend forever!!!

09/08/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Beeker was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer. I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. I was also able to pick him up. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents with no children. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: retreats, hisses Reaction to touch: body tense, allow limited petting with a slow approach Try picking cat up: Beeker allows limited handling before attempting to flee Placement Determination: Experience no child
