BEARY – A1037666
6-4-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 06/04/15*** SHY BEARY WAS DUMPED IN THE ACC WHEN HIS OWNER DIED – HE IS TENSE AND AFRAID AND NOW WILL DIE FOR HIS FEAR. BEARY is 9 years old and sadly when his owner died, nobody wanted him or the other cats he lived with. BEARY has a curled ear due to an old healed hematoma but should really get a checkup to make sure all is ok. BEARY got the New Hope rating because he is terrified in the shelter and hiding and growling when the assessor tried to touch him. This cat is just scared and deserves a chance to have a home again. CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL BEARY TO SAFETY.

05/29/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Beary looks uptight in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Beary remains at the back crouched down, alert with pupils fully dilated and a hard stare. Reaction to touch: Beary began to slowly retreat away from the assessor’s hand then stiffens up in place and began to low growl. Placement determination: NH ONLY Beary is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. He is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
