BEAR – A1041444
7-3-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 07/03/15*** BEAR IS A SHY BUT MELLOW GUY WHO CAME IN WITH HOUSEMATES TOM TOM & JERRY (also listed tonight)….BEAR MEOWED AND ALLOWED PETTING AND IS PERFECTLY HEALTHY – BUT THE ACC WILL KILL HIM ANYWAY BECAUSE OF HIS FEAR!! BEAR is a name of a more ferocious animal but THIS BEAR is not at all someone you should be afraid of. Consequently BEAR is the one who is a little shy and afraid of being abandoned by someone in the ACC shelter. BEAR did get an EXPERIENCE rating for his behavior which is still a bit unfair as he was shy but did come forth for more petting. Sadly that is not enough for the ACC – they will kill him anyway because he didn’t jump through hoops for them. And even with that, they still kill the cats! BEAR IS REALLY A MELLOW SOUL WHO DESERVES TO LIVE AND HAVE A FUREVER HOME WHERE HE WILL BE LOVED. CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO SAVE BEAR TONIGHT!! HE ONLY HAS TIL NOON!

07/01/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Bear was calm and relaxed upon approach. When softly spoken to, he meows softly and looks at the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Bear remains immobile, but continues to give a shy meow. Reaction to touch: Bear was hesitant at first, but allows touch and closes his eyes. After a little while, he warms up and slowly comes to the front and leans onto the assessor, but seems wary of the environment. Reaction to being picked up: Bear remains calm but may tense up and jump back into the cage. Behavior Determination: Experience Bear tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may need time to warm up in his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
