BEANY was born in a yard last year has been living with a colony of cats, some of whom pick on him…..BEANY definitely needs some time and attention after being on him own and he needs some groceries as he is underweight….PLEASE HELP BEANY FIND A PURRMANENT HOME BY OFFERING TO FOSTER OR ADOPT!! BEANY will need time and patience and a FOSTER or ADOPTIVE PARENT can give him that!! PLEASE FIND ROOM IN YOUR HOME AND YOUR HEART FOR THIS ORPHAN TONITE!!

04/18/15 19:00 CAT INFORMATION SHEET Where did this cat come from? This cat was a stray outside that was living in the finder’s yard. If this cat is a stray, did you bring in a cat carrier. ORIGINAL SOURCE This cat was found as a stray in the finder’s yard when it was a kitten. Does this cat have a microchip? No WHY ARE YOU BRINGING THIS CAT IN? The finder is bringing in the cat because it is a stray and she felt badly for him. Also the bigger stray male cats were bullying him. RELATIONSHIP The finder has known this cat since it was born in her yard last yr. PEOPLE Beany is use to the finder and her friend due to them feeding him. He was ok sitting around the finder but never really solisitated physical attention. OTHER ANIMALS Cat lived outside in finders yard. Finder witnessed Beany interacting with other cats and he was fine but other cats were sometimes aggressive towards him. PERSONALITY Beany is a stray but finder had a long wand toy that he liked to play with. He was nervous and shy and didnt really allow any petting or handling, HABITS Finder was feeding Beany both wet & dry food.

Reaction to approaching the cage: Hiding when I approached cage. (3) Reaction to being spoken to: Continues to hide. (3) Reaction to door opening: Becomes stiff and alert. (3) Reaction to touch: Moves away to avoid being touched. (3) Reaction to being picked up: Did not attempt, cat is stressed. Notes: Beany came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. At the time of the assessment, Beany is displaying fearful behavior. He avoids interacting with the assessor and does not allow handling. Beany is exhibiting behavior suited for experienced cat parents with no small children who can allow him proper adjustment time.
