BANJO – A1045027
8-1-2015 Manhattan Rescue: Happy Homes Please honor your pledges: http://www.happyhomesinc.org/
***SAFE 08/01/15***BEAUTIFUL LITTLE BANJO NEEDS RESCUE ANGEL! There is never a good time for a kitten to wind up in the shelter system, but when that system is bursting at the seams with homeless animals? That’s the worst time possible. Banjo may have lousy timing, but this little cherub is otherwise purrfect. He is eight weeks old, enjoys relatively good health (just has a couple of curable kitty sniffles) and loves everyone he meets. Please save this excellent kitten tonight, because beautiful Banjo will not be getting a second chance tomorrow.

07/26/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Banjo was calm, relaxed, and friendly upon approach. He looks at the assessor with relaxed eyes when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Banjo becomes alert and hisses. Reaction to touch: Banjo sniffs the assessor’s hand and hisses as the assessor reaches to pet him, but allows petting on his head and back. He warms up to touch, leans on the assessor’s hand, closes his eyes, and starts to purr. Reaction to being picked up: Banjo remains soft and allows handling. Behavior Determination: Experience Banjo tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up in his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
