Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Bambi was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. The finder kept her for three days, but has reported that she did not get along with her other two cats. She was very quiet and curious upon intake, and allows all handling during her initial medical exam. Reaction to Assessor: Bambi was calm, relaxed, and friendly by the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Bambi comes to the front and meows. Reaction to cage door opening: Bambi remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Bambi allows petting, but shifts away momentarily. She rubs her cheeks on her blanket to solicit attention, but doesn’t initiate attention unless the assessor does so first. She begins to purr and appreciates petting though. Reaction to being picked up: Bambi remains calm, but starts to whine. She continues to allow petting once put back into the cage. Placement Determination: Average Bambi interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
