05/19/15 13:51 Intake Behavior: Baldino sat cured up in the back of the carrier facing away from the door. When the carrier door was opened he did not move. He allowed to be pet in the carrier. The carrier had to be tilted a little to coax Baldino to walk out. When he was on the counter he did not move. He allowed collaring and being placed back in the carrier. He licked his nose during handing but he did not show aggressive behaviors.

Notes: Baldino was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to was seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Baldino is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner. Reaction to assessor: comes to the front of the cage, soliciting, rubbing against the cage front (1) When spoken quietly: stays at front, continues soliciting attention (1) Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft & relaxed (1) Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention (1) Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling.
