Babydoll came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Babydoll was friendly and allowed handling. Reaction to assessor: Babydoll is lying at the front of the cage, reaching his paws out. Reaction when softly spoken to: Babydoll rolls over and continues soliciting attention. Reaction to cage door opening: Babydoll stands up and begins to look around the room. Reaction to touch: Babydoll enjoys petting and attention, leans in to assessor. Reaction to pick up: Babydoll struggles to get down but remains soft when back in cage. Placement Determination: Beginner Babydoll approaches the assessor, solicits petting and attention, and tolerates handling. Babydoll is exhibiting behavior suited to beginning cat parents.
