09/30/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Atlas was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. Atlas seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment he was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. Atlas may require further investigation before placement in a home. He tries to flee and is extremely fearful. Atlas currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: was hiding when I approach cage When spoken quietly: continues to hide Reaction to door cage opening: becomes alert Reaction to touch: tries to flee, growls, hisses, strikes, does not allows petting at all Try picking cat up: did not attempt to pick up Atlas due to her fractious behavior. Placement Determination: NewHope
