***GONE 07/02/15 *** FEARFUL YOUNG ATLANTIC WOULD CROSS AN OCEAN TO GET AWAY FROM THE ACC……ATLANTIC is just under two years old and brought in as a stray. He is quite fearful at the ACC and would dearly love to get away. He needs time and TLC and a FOSTER can give him that. Since he has a NEW HOPE rating he needs to be pulled by a rescue. PLEASE OFFER TO FOSTER ATLANTIC AND SAVE HIM!! The rescue will handle the vet bills while you help ATLANTIC learn to trust…..SAVE HIS LIFE TONIGHT!!

07/01/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Atlantic becomes alert, but avoids eye contact. When softly spoken to, he shifts his body but continues to avoid the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Atlantic remains stiff and alert. Reaction to touch: Atlantic allows brief touch, but hisses afterwards. When continuing to try and pet him, he shifts his body away and continues to hiss while lifting his paw up. He swats at the assessor’s hand after. Behavior Determination: NH ONLY Atlantic is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. He has tried to swat and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
