***SAFE 07/02/2015*** SWEET, GENTLE ATHENA HAS ANOTHER CHANCE AT LIFE-PLEASE SAVE HERS TONIGHT!!!!!! ATHENA is in a bind. She’s frightened and has gotten the shelter cold and won’t eat. Since ACC doesn’t seem to spare the time to actually medicate, but relys on putting antibiotics in food, ATHENA hasn’t been eating and therefore, not getting her medicine. Cats who don’t eat are at risk of getting sicker, and sweet ATHENA probably needs to be syringe fed or at the least given some food that she can smell if she has a cold, such as tuna…but who knows if this sweet girl is going to get any ‘special treatment’. ATHENA was brought into the ‘Care Center’ due to a child’s allergies and of course no one has heard or benedryl, and now ATHENA faces being killed on a weekend where those perhaps looking to help will pass over just another black cat-black and black and white cats have the hardest time leaving the shelter alive. But this is such a sweet girl, a kindly cat who would love special attention and love-and deserves better than a metal cage and indifferent treatment-don’t you think? Will you say ‘yes, I will help her!’ and contact a rescue to foster-or perhaps decide to help and adopt her yourself-either way, you will be saving this precious cats life. Save ATHENA NOW!!!!
