ARTHUR – A1042314
7-11-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 07/11/15***ADORABLE ARTHUR WITH AWESOME AVERAGE RATING NEEDS YOU! Conjure up the word “abandon” and let it sit in the heart for a moment—how does that feel? How about the word “surrender?” To a person who can intellectually comprehend it, it feels pretty bleak. Transfer that feeling to a trusting family pet who suddenly finds himself along with more than ten of his fabulous feline housemates in the ACC system on a horribly memorable day, and the result is a spot on the euth list despite an awesome average behavior rating. Arthur is only two years old, and already he and his housemates have lost everything but life itself; tomorrow morning, even that will be taken away. Please join the effort to prevent this terrible fate from happening, tonight. If you can open up your heart and home to this great guy, please reserve him online. Or contact a NH rescue for help with transportation. Adorable Arthur needs a hero. Can you be that special purrson?

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Arthur was calm and relaxed upon approach. When softly spoken to, he looks at the assessor and looks away. Reaction to cage door opening: Arthur becomes stiff and alert. Reaction to touch: Arthur was hesitant of touch; he lowers his head, his ears tilt sideways, but he allows petting and remains immobile. Behavior Determination: Experience Arthur tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
