06/30/15 09:21 Basic Info: Antonia (spayed 15yrs) A1042114 & her sister Juana (15yrs) A1042113 are black elderly female DSH felines who were born at home and are being surrendered due to the owner becoming ill recently and is no longer able to keep them. They currently don’t have any medical issues/injuries and haven’t been to a vet in a little while. Socialization: Antonia & Juana are friendly with strangers. They’ve lived with other cats and were relaxed/affectionate with them and would play gentle and exuberantly, these days they don’t play as they did in their youth. They live with an elderly Chihuahua and are relaxed/affectionate and respectful of him. They’ve never bitten/scratched a person or animal. Behavior: According to the owner both Antonia & Juana cry/meow all the time. They struggle during bath time, they haven’t had their nails trimmed, they enjoy being brushed, picked up/carried. They don’t mind being placed into a carrier. They haven’t been disturbed while sleeping/resting. For a New Family to Know: Antonia & Juana are both described as friendly, affectionate, mellow & talkative. Their activity level is low. When the owner is home they rarely follow them around. Both girls are indoor cats. They sleep on chairs or the sofa. They eat dry & wet Nutro cat food. They are litter box trained and have no accidents. They use an uncovered litter box with clumping litter within. They don’t have a scratching post. Intake Behavior Antonia & Juana were a little tense bodied and meowed a lot but allowed all handling. They allowed us to scan (-), collar them & take their pictures along with positioning them during.

Reaction to assessor: Antonia was calm, relaxed, and friendly upon approach. When softly spoken to, she looks at the assessor and rubs her cheeks on the cage door. Reaction to cage door opening: Antonia remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Antonia head-butts and leans on the assessor’s hand, closes her eyes, and begins to purr. Reaction to being picked up: Antonia remains calm and allows handling. As per previous owner, Antonia is friendly with strangers. She has lived with other cats and is relaxed and affectionate around them. She would play gentle and exuberantly, but not as much as she did when she was younger. She also lived with an elderly Chihuahua, and was relaxed, affectionate, and respectful with him. The family described her as friendly, affectionate, mellow, and talkative with a low activity level. Behavior Determination: Average Antonia interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
