Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Anna was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. The finder stated that she was abandoned by neighbors and has been living in the building for a few weeks. She had a tense body upon intake, and retreated to the back of her carrier when approached. She did, however, allow all handling throughout the intake process and during her initial medical exam. Reaction to Assessor: Anna was calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Anna looks at the assessor, rolls over, and rubs her cheeks on her blanket. Reaction to cage door opening: Anna remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Anna was a bit hesitant, but she head-butts lightly and begins to purr. Reaction to being picked up: Anna remains calm and allows handling. Behavior Determination: Average Anna interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
