ANGELO – A1057892
Safe 11-25-2015 Brooklyn Rescue: All Sentient Beings Please honor your pledges: http://animalloversnetwork.org/
** SAFE 11/25/15 ** BEGINNER-rated ANGELO is a neutered 5-year-old hug machine that had been GIFTED to his former owner a number of years ago. It’s awful that so many gifted pets end up dead at the ACC, and there is an extra layer of “awful” surrounding Angelo’s presence at the ACC. His former owner decided it was JUST FINE for him to be killed, just so long as he was out of her house and away from her new human baby….you know, the one she has kept away from Angelo for 9 months. She claimed to be worried that Angelo’s presence would affect her kiddo’s health; um, yeah, Angelo’s presence would almost certainly have contributed to the kiddo having a MORE ROBUST IMMUNE SYSTEM. People take the easy way out and don’t even bother to learn anything about the situation they find themselves in, before they make life-altering decisions, and ANGELO is about to pay the ultimate price. This excellent boy can only be saved by a FOSTER or ADOPTER tonight!

11/14/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
11/14/15 17:11 Basic Information Angelo is a brown tabby neutered male cat that came in as an owner surrender. Owner stated that she stated that she received Angelo as a gift some years ago and has had him since. She can no longer keep him because she has a 9 month old baby at home and she’s worried about the cat’s presence affecting the baby’s health. Owner’s favorite thing about Angelo is his company. Social Life & Personality Angelo has not interacted with young children, dogs or other cats. Owner has kept Angelo and her baby separate at home so he has not interacted with her either. He is litter box trained, is kept indoors only and has a high activity level. Owner described him as playful, shy, mellow, fearful and affectionate. Behavior Issues Owner stated that Angelo will attempt to escape the house if the window is open. He displays no other signs of behavior issues. He is afraid of baths, struggles when being put in the carrier and enjoys being picked up and held. Upon intake, Angelo was extremely vocal and displayed signs of nervousness; he retreated to the back of the carrier and faced the back of the carrier. After being given some time to relax, he was still vocal but allowed his self to be removed, collard and photographed. For a New Family to Know Angelo uses a hooded litter box with pellets for litter. He enjoys playing with balls and other rolling objects. When owner is home, he tends to be in his favorite spot. During car rides, he’s relaxed. He eats dry food only and is fed once in the morning and once at night. He sleeps anywhere in the house.
